Unit EvaluationThe guiding principles for evaluations are based on the university’s quality cycle of Plan, Act, Evaluate (monitor and review) and Improve. Evaluation surveys ensure that the university’s educational and administrative experience, and the units taught in coursework programs, are subject to regular and systematic evaluation and improvement. Each of the university’s units is evaluated at least once in each year that it is taught. See the requirements for the distribution and administration of the Unit Evaluation surveys. Please refer to the Unit Evaluation time line for key dates. Revisions (doc 58kb) to the Unit Evaluation survey were approved by Education Committee in April 2009, and the summary report (pdf 187kb) for Semester 1 2009 unit evaluations based on the revised survey is available. Survey reports are made available within three months of administration of the survey, and faculties use the data to guide improvements to academic and support services, and to academic units. Note that reports are not produced where a unit had fewer than 5 responses or a greater than 100% response rate. |
