MonQueSTPresently, the Monash Questionnaire Series on Teaching (MonQueST) is a set of 11 independent questionnaires, each focused on a different teaching activity e.g. lecturing. Other questionnaires include field work teaching, problem-based teaching, project supervision and workshop teaching. The questionnaire is structured to enable student feedback to be obtained on specific aspects of an individual's teaching so they can be a source of useful feedback for academic staff. The reports generated can also contribute to your documentation of your teaching activities. You can use them as part of your teaching dossier to support your application for tenure and promotion or other staff development and appraisal activities (refer to the Procedures - Academic Promotions page). You are the only person who can request that a MonQueST evaluation be conducted on your teaching. Your personal results, including any written comments, are returned to you alone. The confidentiality of your results will be maintained at all times. Indeed, the Academic Board resolutions that established MonQueST require this. It is up to you to decide who can see your results and whether to use them as part of a teaching profile or dossier. Your personal results will NOT be released to anyone but yourself, unless you give explicit, written direction to do so. It is important that you select the appropriate MonQueST questionnaire to obtain feedback only on a specific teaching activity. Please note that these questionnaires are not designed for more general course or subject evaluation purposes. For more details on MonQueST please see the topics below. Administration and Ordering |
